SiAlCa (Silicon-Aluminum-Calcium alloy) is a high-efficiency composite deoxidizer designed specifically for steelmaking processes. Smelted from silicon (Si), aluminum (Al), and calcium (Ca) — three strong deoxidizing elements — in a scientifically optimized ratio, this product is suitable for converter, electric furnace, induction furnace, and other smelting processes. It can replace traditional deoxidizers such as aluminum wire, silicon-calcium alloy, silicon-aluminum alloy, and calcium aluminate, delivering multiple metallurgical functions including deoxidation, desulfurization, and steel liquid purification.
SiAlCa leverages the synergistic deoxidation effect of silicon, aluminum, and calcium, resulting in fast and thorough deoxidation reactions. Compared with single deoxidizers, composite deoxidation significantly reduces the total oxygen content in steel, achieving lower oxygen levels. The strong deoxidizing power of aluminum, combined with the auxiliary roles of silicon and calcium, enables rapid completion of both primary and final deoxidation during tapping.

SiAlCa leverages the synergistic deoxidation effect of silicon, aluminum, and calcium, resulting in fast and thorough deoxidation reactions. The strong deoxidizing power of aluminum, combined with the auxiliary roles of silicon and calcium, enables rapid completion of both primary and final deoxidation during tapping.
The calcium element in the product generates oxides with low melting points during deoxidation, forming liquid deoxidation products that float up easily. These low-melting-point composite oxides aggregate and grow in the steel liquid, and are effectively removed through argon stirring or natural flotation, thereby significantly reducing inclusion content, purifying the steel liquid, and improving steel cleanliness and mechanical properties.
SiAlCa delivers good desulfurization while deoxidizing. Since deoxidation reduces the oxygen content in steel, it creates favorable thermodynamic conditions for desulfurization, effectively improving the desulfurization rate. Using this product helps improve steel liquid fluidity, solves nozzle clogging issues during continuous casting, and enhances both internal and surface quality of cast billets.
This product can replace aluminum wire, silicon-calcium, silicon-aluminum, calcium aluminate, and other traditional deoxidizers, reducing alloy consumption and improving alloy recovery rates. Overall calculations show that using SiAlCa deoxidizer effectively lowers deoxidation cost per ton of steel, while simplifying operational processes, reducing the number and frequency of additions, and improving steelmaking efficiency.
Weighing and batching: Raw materials are weighed according to the target chemical composition.
Remelting: The weighed materials are charged into an intermediate frequency electric furnace lined with common quartz sand, where they are melted and thoroughly mixed .
Casting and solidification: The molten alloy is poured into ingot molds or continuous casting equipment, then cooled and solidified.
Crushing and sizing: The solidified alloy is crushed and screened to obtain the desired particle size grades.
